1. How do I fundraise?
All students will need to create a new 2023 fundraising page.

Please set up a Personal Fundraising Page for your student on this website "Create Your Page"tab, adding a photo, too! There will be incentives for the most creative pages, so make sure everything is up to date. INSIDER TIP: Add a Hawk Selfie (photo your Hawk has taken) or quote on why your Hawk love HV to get a head start on the weekly contests.

You will be able to send emails to grandparents, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors through this site.

This is the perfect opportunity to give an update on your child’s school year thus far and asking if they would like to support Hidden Valley.

2. What does the money go towards?

The Fun Run is the one and only annual fundraiser for Hidden Valley.

What does the PTO specifically do with the money? Lots!

The funds are used to pay for programs like social emotional learning, poetry, as well as many other programs, events and needed supplies.

3. How much should we try to raise?
As in years past, we are shooting for 100% participation. Our goal is to have every child with a Personal Fun Run page, even without any fundraising.

Our ask is that each family gives what they feel comfortable donating in order to support Hidden Valley this year, and for the future. There will be contests during the fundraising period to incentivize the students to participate.  However, there is no penalty whatsoever for students who do not raise this money.  In fact, almost all contests are participation based, so no matter the amount raised we include every student in the contests.

4. What if my child doesn’t want or can't run?
Students do not have to run.

They can participate in any way they like- skipping, hopping, walking with friends or cheering from the sidelines.

The event is all about fun and is not a race or competition.

5. What’s the plan for the actual event?
On the culminating day, Friday, October 13th, the students will run around the school field together in grade levels. Get your Hawk student fired up! Send them to school with all of their Hawk Spirit Wear or anything orange and blue  !! Some past years ideas have been capes, hair chalk, temporary tatoos, wigs and the list goes on!

6. What should my child wear on the day of the Fun Run?
Please dress your student is comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes that day.  Sunscreen and a hat are also advised.

Definitely sport that awesome HAWK Spirit Wear or anything orange and blue. Students will also be given a Fun Run T-shirt the week of the Fun Run to wear during the run.

7. What is our fundraising goal for 2023?
Our goal is to create a sense of community and excitement for the upcoming school year by encouraging 100% student partcipation where every student creates a donation page. There are also incentives for the most number of donations (vs total dollar amount) received during the fundraising period, so cast your fundraising requests far and wide.

As this is our only fundraiser for the school year, we are also targeting a school wide fundraising goal of $70K to support planned school events and cover current needs.
